Welcome to the Secret Lair!!!

as we are now the sole rulers of Oshkosh
(yes it feels weird to not have elders around....)

but we inherited their apartment!!!
(that is the nice way to put a 24 hour eviction from our old apartment!)

AND....................
is absolutely disgusting.
basically a dungeon.
let me give you a bit of a run down of how it went.....

Tuesday- we found out on that we have less than 24 hours to pack up and clean our entire apartment and turn in our old apartment keys,
Wednesday- we moved all the boxes in and we just set our crap on top of all of the crap that they left behind......
and then we had a day filled with appointments (some in a different city. yes, we cover multiple!!!)
can i just say.... the smell was atrocious.... it was a mix between cheap cologne, BO, and farts....
we got to the end of our Wednesday and we wanted to cry and just sleep in our car.
but we braved it and went back into the dungeon/gas chamber
Thursday- was spent cleaning and scrubbing and throwing away and de-cluttering and sanitizing and unpacking
we ended up with 5 trash bags, 3 goodwill bags, and 2 recycling bags and we haven't made a dent!
Friday- we did service for a less active which included MORE cleaning!

so yeah not to keen on moving.... ever again....... or cleaning........... ever again.

BUT besides all of that physical stuff,
we are suppose to,
"Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on.
for your Heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself." (Matthew 6)

and we had a great week!!!!
·  after we found out we had to pack everything up we needed boxes so sister ah mu went dumpster diving... and i videoed it :)
·  this was our first appointment with QN with him having the priesthood and his house felt different! the only way i can really describe it is that his house finally felt like a home :)
·  we met with CF but she just complained to us the whole time. life is really hard for her but she is letting that hold her back. its like she is fighting her spiritual potential! she has SO much of it too!!! we cant force people to make the gospel a priority but we will continue to tell her the blessings that will come!
·  we met with JB, a 19 year old less active who's family is moving away (and that we have been trying to get in with since i have been here!!!), and we had an amazing discussion with her! she felt comfortable enough to share some very personal challenges that she is facing and that are ultimately holding her back from coming into the fold! it was amazing and the spirit was toptally there as we testified that she will be able to overcome these things... WITH God! ;)
·  we helped CH, less active we have done service for before, and we were very loving but bold as we told her she needs to come back to church. not for us, (even though we did a boat load of service for her!), for herself and the Lord. look at all He has done for us. the least we can to for Him is think about Him one hour out of the week! i can just see the Savoir pleading to us, "could ye not watch with me one hour?" (Matthew 26:40) that is all he is asking of us for sacrament meeting.
·  to say my companion and i were overwhelmed this week is an understatement but thanks to worthy priesthood holders in our ward we were able to get blessings of comfort and council which helped a LOT!!! he told us afterwards that the impression that he got during the blessing was that if we could only see what lies a head of us we would not be feel burdened at all!!! he told us that amazing miracles where in store!
·  we got a referral from sisters down in muskego for this super solid guy that just happens to be moving to Ripon to go to the college there! he showed up at the church building 3 weeks ago and has already been through the first three lessons he is committed to baptism and he has already read to 2 nephi 18!!! we are going to meet with him this week!
·  AH got confirmed!!! we asked her how she felt and her response was, "like a member of the church!!!" hahaha :)
·  KD, the dad of the part member family that was found through home teaching, came to church!!!! the day before we met with him and testified of the first vision to him! we talked about joseph smith and he asked, "so you dont worship Joseph smith??" we explained that he was just a man and he replied, "then i am really excited to look into your church!" we went on to talk about the first vision and then that lead into the book of mormon and he asked, "so you dont believe in a different Jesus Christ??" we explained that to him and then he replied, "wow! then i am REALLY interested in your church!!!" this guy was willing to attend with both of those misunderstandings but now that he got those cleared up he was even more solid!!! his wife gets back into town this week so we are excited to meet with them!!!
so mission life is the best life!
its always an adventure but as long as we have to Lord with us we will be able to navigate the trials that come!
love you all!!!
